My 11 year old grandson just started playing chess and asked if I could make him a chess set.

Really nice chess set. That’s a lot of work to put in to a kid’s beginner hobby request! I hope he sticks with it. Even if he doesn’t, that’s going to be a family heirloom.

Beautiful work and a lot of it. I made a grandson a board but I cheated and bought the pieces. Congrats.

Board is 21"square. Chess pieces range from 2" (Pawn) to 4.5 inches (King)
