Engine #2

My latest creation, like my last piece, is a steampunk, steam engine inspired side table. I used a wide variety of old, discarded stuff from old wire shelving and bits of steel, copper and brass to solid oak pallet boards that were destined for the shreder and a used bearing of some sort from a Cat earth mover. The Coke bottles were bottled here in Reno back in the early 1940s. My father in law, who works for DOT found them as they were unearthed during a construction project at the old Stead airforce base near Reno. Back in those days they would throw the trash in a big pit and burn it.
