Small Black Locust Bowl and Platter
Finishing up the last of the black locust gifted to me several years ago. Scrap piece big enough to make these. Both are about 7" diameter. Finished with Danish oil.

I had to look up black locust as I hadn’t heard of this wood before. It is beautiful! I love the grain and your projects sure show it off well.

Beautiful Lew. I have some unique batches of wood I have been saving to make something special but can’t decide what. Nice build.

Anna, Thanks! It’s almost a nuisance tree around here. Smaller ones are used for fence posts because they are very rot resistant.
