This is a 1/12th scale reproduction of a Gus Stickley Armchair (usually used as a dining chair) Model 386 from his 1905 catalog. It is comprised of 55 pieces of basswood. There are two through tenons on the bottom side rails, while every other joint is a hidden tenon. The arms are attached with 0.7 mm dowels, and the seat back ladder slats are bent wood. The spindles are from 1/25" square stock. I made two seat and cushion assemblies, one in simple black fabric, the other, the more authentic one, in distressed real leather. The upholstery is secured with brass brads, and the chair was finished with three coats of fruitwood stain followed by three applications of dark brown antiquing wax.

Your work is amazing William. Your attention to detail, beautiful!

Awwww, Anna, you flatter me beyond measure. I am merely a hack with too much time on his hands. YOU, madam, are the true and gifted artist. —Bill
