I made this piece of dollhouse furniture several years ago. The design is entirely mine; as far as I know, no actual full-size beast exists in this or any other reality. The doors open, of course, and the shelves inside are moveable. All drawers open and have interior drawer stops. The upper shelf sports inlaid gray tile, the backboard mirror is real, and the corner artworks are removable. The finish consisted of several applications if dark oak oil stain and six or seven coats of polyurethane lacquer, followed by judicious aging/dirtying up with carpet dust mixed with cigarette ashes, and a final partial hard waxing.

I placed this on e-bay for auction, but it was bought for the “buy it now” price of $150 within 90 seconds of bid opening. The buyer was delighted, but teased me that I had under-priced my piece by, in her estimation, a factor of 3 or 4. Live and learn.

"I see," said the blind man, as he picked up his hammer and saw.

That’s amazing! Beautifully done!

Well done ,what a challenge working at that scale.
