Interesting topic. I have a non sliding Hitachi which I’ve been pretty happy with. No complaints to speak of. I’m not crazy about sliders in general. If I had the room and the desire for one, I’d probably go with a radial arm saw. It seems to me that sliders are job site tools – portable compromises. And while that Bosch with the knuckle arm looks like it addresses the deficiencies of the slider concept, it’s also very expensive. If you need it, you need it, so that can make up for the money aspect. Anyway, my 2 cents.
