Well I make my templates if I can but I buy some too.

Sketches, many many sketches in my little black notebook. Lately my work has been shifting, though, I find I need moulds and plans more.

I use sketchup for planing but I sometimes make a ruff proto type if it need to be comfy like a chair or bench.

I start out on a dry erase board . gives me the ability to change things easily . then I draw either a full scale or half scale on my drafting table . then some times I make templates out of thick poster board . I also use left over stick on floor squares to make small templates. like for sectional bowls . I have a set for 6 & 8 in bowls. each with 6 pcs to a row , 8 pcs to a row and 16 pcs to a row.

Oh my I wish I could learn that sketch up. I think after I get my laptop fixed im going to have to make time for learning it. I actually have the videos on how to do it. So ill have to turn on the dvd player crack open a diet dr. Pepper open the laptop and get to work.
