Unbranded LED rechargeable lights for pictures

I was originally going to post this as a project but I think you’re seen enough of my birds.

I cut  the 3/16” wood strips to 1-5/8”x 5” long. The steel brackets came with a 90* bend. I placed the brackets in a vice and straightened them out with a rubber mallet. I didn’t photograph that.

I drilled holes in the wood to match where the holes were in the metal brackets to attach the brackets to the wood strips.
I had to use #4-3/16” SS screws since the wood was just under 3/16” thick.

Here I’m attaching the wooden strips to the top of the frame with SS #4-1/2” screws. The lights attach to the metal brackets with magnets in the rear of the lights.

I bent the brackets until they were at the best angle.

Setting the color temperature to warm.

Setting the temperature to medium.

Setting the temperature to cool.
It maybe hard to see the color differences in the photos but their very noticeable in real life.

I purchased these lights from Walmart. The lights come with two remote controls (one for a backup) that has an on and off button it has a dimmer button and 3 buttons that control the light temperature.

The remote control is much better than manually turning the lights on and off.

The lights are rechargeable using a charger and a cable that we use on some devices we have and were not included.

I give these lights a 5 star rating because of their ease of use, the remote control and the fair price of only $26.99 and free shipping.

I only have them for 3 days. If they don’t hold up I’ll change my review.

do they have a timer ? that would be good in case you forget to turn off.  also how long will they last between charges ?

Pretty cool!

That’s a great question Pottz. I forgot about that feature. The remote comes with a timer. You can set it at 15min, 30min, 60min and 120min.  I don’t know how long the charge will last. I’ll try and get back to you on that.

Thanks Dark Lightning. I also think they are cool.

Your welcome Steve R.

I like that you can change the color temperature!
"Cheap" LED lights often have poor color rendition indexes (CRI) which is why most galleries often stick to halogen.
The need to recharge is the only bummer I see since it could get "old" plugging them in every so often. That said, the convenience of setup (no wires) and low cost is a big +. Even if you get tired of the charging, they can still be useful elsewhere.
well as long as your not turning them everyday i dont think an issue. id probably use em when i had guests over ?

Nice addition!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Thanks Splinter. I’m not sure I would use them in professional galleries unless they were tested them for a longer period of time and had multiple back ups already charged.

The easy thing about swapping them out would be a complaining artist and their just held in place by magnets.

Pottz I can just see you hosting a black tie event with your BBQ blazing, and your guest sipping martinis smoking cigarettes with long diamond studded cigarette holders while viewing your latest accusations of fine art lit by $26.99 lighting. Throw some shrimp on the barbie.

Thanks Ryan Gi

(No-Shirt No Service).

Does that mean no-commando in the hot tub?
Wow. Pottz’s black tie event with martini’s and hors-d’oeuvre, went to a full blown frat party.

Oh. Nice review.
Thanks WoodGuy.

Pottz, they last approximately 15 hours. Long enough for your Toga Party. 😁

Splinter, I don’t think  no commando would be a good look for our Pottz. But what do I know. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
