Hammer K3 Winner Panel Saw

The saw is pretty good with solid woods as it has a 12" blade (4"depth of cut) and a 4 hp motor. But where it excels is with sheet goods. It has a scoring blade for clean cuts in sheet goods (top and bottom) and a pretty skookum sliding table for crosscutting with an 80" travel range. Big enough it can support a full sheet of plywood for trimming and end etc.

Yes, indeed, that is one beautiful saw! Is there something on it that makes getting the sheet goods up on to it easier? Or do you just muscle it up there?

This is one impressive saw, it looks like you get lots of good use from it.

you still have to lift the sheets on… it just has that long table which slides back and forth for cross cutting. The fellow i bought my bandsaw from had a pretty cool material lift cart. It carried the sheets on edge, but the full cart could be laid flat as well. It also had a hydraulic lift so you raise and lower the cart to be in line with your saw. I’ve been looking for one but haven’t come across one yet *he bought his at an auction)

When you find your hydraulic lift cart, be sure to share it with us so we can drool. That sounds like a great idea to save the back. I have to cut plywood down to be able to handle it so most of it gets cut with a circular saw and only smaller pieces on the table saw which could never cut full sheet anyway.

nothing wrong with a skil saw and a decent straight edge
