on another forum they had a forum just for sales so members could let others know about these events. i think it would be nice if we had the same thing here. so im doing it.

Good thread, Lar.  I'll share anything I find.

Might be good for North American members but not sure about international members?!

The sad part is the “Sales & Promotions” in North America are so much better than downunder

Veritas seconds sale. Short time frame. "

And me with a bit over 800 bux on a $1,000.00 card I picked up at a significant discount last time they had their gift certificate sale. For anyone not aware of either of these occurrences, and MANY more you should give them your email address, or make one up for such occasions. I've not seen where Rob would abuse you, or you email.

Harvey July 4th sale.

I had looked at swapping my old General 350 for a new Harvey, but they had ZERO info about the trucking company they had picked for their US deliveries. All they would say is in my case they couldn't deliver to an address described as mine was, and I had never heard of this trucking company before. When I looked them up, they don't seem to actually exist, at least in my area. So I had to drive to a terminal "where????" to pick up my machine??? Harvey guy had no idea. Made me all warm and fuzzy thinking of how that might not go well. Grizzly in Mo is only a few states over, hmmmmm, maybe I ought to consider that.

Grizzly can, and has made a number of deliveries to my home. Plus the guy I had the misfortune of answering my call sounded pizzed, like I had disturbed his siesta.
How long do those planes last on that Veritas sale? A few hours?
from what ive heard that veritas sale goes fast, real fast, so if your interested in getting a deal be ready the minute it opens.

Not wood related but you can test drive a new RAM 1500 for a $50 gift card.
Great thread pottz!  Funny enough, I almost posted the same thing a couple of days ago but then it slipped my mind… SQUIRREL!!

Highland WW has their Woodslicer bandsaw blades $5 off through tomorrow.

From sales past you are placed in a Queue. To get there you need to be on the line somewhere around 11:59, sooner and they have a recording saying so. If you aren't in the line ready to wait at 11:59 then unless you want one of something they have several of, and NO ONE on this Earth wants, you probably won't do much good. Stuff not so popular might last a few hours. IIRC that changed on the last sale, EVERYTHING was gone inside of 25 minutes.

The biggest tip I can give you is if you really want something on that list, then be in queue, and LONG BEFORE you get there search out each piece, and know YES or NO if you want it. It comes down to who gets an item to checkout soonest, once checked out, IE purchased, it is GONE. The speedsters put everything in their basket in the first 10 seconds, and go directly to check out. "SHOPPING around", and you will be empty handed.
thats what ive heard from those that have "tried" !

Ohhh. I've gotten something on every sale, but because it goes so fast it sort of self limits someone with an idea to buy a bunch, and look toward resale. It's not like they paint them all Orange so everyone knows it's a second. On much of what I have gotten it's difficult to tell.
Lee Valley's sale happening now
just looked still some stuff left but going fast, better hurry !

I don't remember items being available this long after the sale opened Almost 4 hours now, and still a lot of the higher $$$$$ planes still for sale. Not sure of the price isn't perceived as low enough, or as BB used to sing, "The Thrill is Gone"

I got a PMVII 3/4" bench chisel. I imagine it will pry open paint cans as well as that old rusty thing I been using. :-))))) Also got another pocket plane. The one I have is in the basement shop area. I want one out in the main shop, as I use it all the time, and day to day I don't know where I'll be.
yeah i just looked still a lot left ?
