I’ve been out of my shop for over 2 yrs.
I had to have a total hip replacement and I’m still using a Cane. I sure miss not being able to get back in the shop. I don’t feel steady enough to feed lumber through My machinery. So I’m in the process of building a remote controlled lawnmower. I can sit on a chair and cut my grass using an rc transmitter. I have a friend who can lift my lawnmower up on my assembly table. It’s been fun figuring out the electronics. I miss you guys and gals, stay safe billp

Good to hear from you, I hope your new hip gives you a new lease on life. My Wife had hip replacement 3+ years back did wonders for her no pain no limp a real Blessing.

Your lawn mower project sounds like an interesting endeavor (way beyond my abilities). Let us know how it works.
Best wishes on a full recovery from the hip replacement. Don’t be afraid to get a second opinion if you don’t get better soon. My mom’s was misaligned and only after a second surgery (by a surgeon at Mayo who specialized in correcting botched hip replacements) did she recover fully.

I had my Rt. Hip replaced almost 2 years ago… am back to normal now… I still have to be careful from doing certain moves BUT overall much better…
My biggest problem, now, is Cleaning the Shop so I can get back to USING IT! :)
You should be almost back to normal by this time…
