It’s a fine jewelry box /valet.

I don’t know the difference either.
Lucky you can work after they go to sleep. It’s not in my contract.

Why the false bottom?

“Why the false bottom?” – I don’t know…why not? Honestly, at one point in time, I thought I was going to make a tea box. But then I thought the box was too deep for that, so I thought, well…I could add a false bottom. Then I thought, why a false bottom on a tea box? In the end, I did it just because I wanted to. Someone could hide their alternate passport and some foreign currency in there, or something!

Thanks David.

Beautiful box. Love the little walnut splines in the trays. False bottoms are always a good thing. You can keep those really rare teas there.

I like it and your approach of making it from what you had on hand and the design changes .
It’s all good and it will find it’s purpose just like the material that it’s made from and you had fun building it and thats what matters !

It must have been very fun just going with the flow seeing what turns out to be a fantastic set. You defiantly have great skills and this is one of my favourite box sets, great work David.
