I'm a life-long woodworker but got really serious about carving after a car accident back in 1975. I had broken my sternum and had hundreds of stitches in my scalp and couldn't move around much so I needed to do something to do that didn't require a lot of arm strength. My daddy was a carver and had shown us all how as kids but none of us seemed all that interested back then. Now I wish I had started sooner!

A belated welcome to the community!

Thank you! I've been so busy with construction and Christmas orders I haven't had much time to spend here!

Welcome to Craftisian. I'm originally from the Jackson area. My father carved decorative decoys for a number of years. Tried to get me started but that was not my interest at the time. Wish I had though.
