Well, Marvin Moose needed a friend, so I made the girl moose, as well, from the
https://www.graceandyarn.com/2018/12/amigurumi-moose-free-crochet-pattern.html pattern (Thank-you GraceAndYarn. This is a wonderful pattern and works up quickly.
I did edit the pattern a wee bit, adding a row of "crab stitch" for the bottom and neckline of the shirt. I love the effect of this stitch.
While
Marvin was made with Lion's Brand 24/7 yarn and a 2.5 mm hook, Mandy Moose was made with my new yarn that I
ordered from Turkey: Camilla6/4 and a 2.00 mm hook.
Buying the yarn from Turkey was a risk as it was sight unseen but I am thrilled with it. It is my favourite cotton yarn to work with. The threads stay together and have just the right amount of sheen, in my opinion.
