Snake Bite Puzzle Box
This project was one of my first puzzle boxes from many years ago.
It is simple enough when you understand that the wheels in the back of the box block the retreat of the rods that block the pins in the lid from being bypassed.
This puzzle was made from an old mahogany door frame and was the first time I hade built a box in this way with the dovetail splines and the off color wood around the inner panel.
The biggest challenge was learning new ways to calculate measurements so everything works with minimal slop.
