here is my bowling swap project and a couple bonus items i made.the bowl is mahogany on the bottom, maple burl center and cherry on the top.there was a small void i filled with turquiose, and a ring of tuquoise around the top.the size i forgot, you'll have to ask keebler on that.the bowl is finished with 6 coats of GF bowl finish and a final coat of wax.the bonus items are a bottle stopper made from thuya burl from morocco. turns like hard butter but almost impossible to sand.clogs paper in a minute so i just burnish the wood.the last bonus was a majestic pen with swarovski crystal on the clip, one of my fav's.wood is unknown. this was a fun swap to do and i encourage all you guys or gals to join one.

I'd have to go get the ball out of the trunk. I think I was throwing 13lb. Pandemic hit, bowling alley closed. Haven't been outside since (metaphorically).
RyanGi commented about 8 hours ago new Hey Pottz, those black/dark highlights at the junction of the wood types on the outside of the bowl…how’s you do those? Burned? Stained?
i just cut a small groove then use a wire to burn a dark line for seperation of the woods.
