Project Information
this is my answer to the quiet time during this corona crisis.the bed you may recognize as the one i posted a couple years ago.got tired of book shelf head board and made a new one from cherry and ambrosia maple a wood ive come to love.the head board panels were made with 1/2 bb and resawn maple that was about 1/8 thick.made the night stands to hang on the wall with a french cleat.the tops are box elder i cut from a 8ft slab, the remaining will be made into a bench for the front of the bed.the drawers were recycled from the old stands done with box joints and ball bearing glides.the drawer on the left has a raised bottom to conceal my home security system, aka .38 special.finish is my go to maloof blend, the tops are 5 coats of poly for better durabilty.
french cleats to hang on the wall.

Nice work cutting that smooth radius on the top. The box joints look real good
thanks. radiuses are always fun,and use a lot of wood! i love the look of the box joint much more than dovetails.
