More Mailbox Banks

The backstory of these banks using old P.O. mailbox doors is here.

I made nine more banks for a total of 10. They all have buyers and all the money is going to the town's historical society.

I spent seven hours working on the first bank. The other nine took me 27 hours, or three hours each. Since the doors are all the same size, much of the time savings was knowing the exact dimensions of the box to fit the door. This also allowed me to "automate" the cutting of the sides.

Posted elsewhere Apr 14, 2019.  I ended up making 10 more for a total of 20.

Very nicely done, and a great fund raiser. Hats off to you.

Thanks.

One of the best parts of this was that the rows of boxes that originally held the doors at the P.O. still had some of the names on them.  A few of the citizens in town were able to get the door that was used by an ancestor.

That is neat.

Nice selection !  I am getting ready to make one, the problem now days is that the doors that are in good shape are getting really expensive.   MIke

Nice way to save a piece of history Chuck. Nice looking boxes
Great boxes, Chuck! Love the part about people being able to buy boxes used by their ancestors.
