Project Information
well this is something ive been wanting to build for a long time but just could not find the room, then I realized why not take what I already had and reconfigure to make it work and this is the result.the center cabinet was my original miter saw stand, the two cabinets on the sides were joined together as a large rolling tool cabinet, the cabinet is gone but the drawers were recycled in the new side cabinets to create this new unit.the boxes are melamine, the wood used is clear doug fir.all drawers are on ball bearing glides.the bench top is Masonite.the fences are melamine with rockler t tracks and flip stops secured with toggle clamps so they can be repositioned or removed.dust collection is marginal with this saw but better than nothing.the finish is a stain with oil finish.measurements are 7'7" long 24" wide 43" tall,i like tall benches my back is not getting younger.it sits on 4" wheels so I can move easily. due to the recycling my total cost was less than 150 bucks. well after 5 yeras of use im still happy with this setup and wouldn't change anything.

Not bad Pottz, it's always nice to have a good runout table to each side.

Main Street to the Mountains

And you have a go at my Fe$tool.  The timber alone would be worth more than my entire Fe$tool collection.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

not even close ducks. you forget most of this was recycled and i work at a lumber yard.

That is a funny, unusual color for a Bosch.  Hmmm?  Wish I had that much space.

You work at a lumber yard?! That must mean you can send free samples to all your Craftisian friends, right? :-)

Not only that, but I'm sure we'll all permit pottzy to pay for the postage.

Nobody mentioned you're such a nice guy either... both are given... anyway, you don't buy Fe$tool... you must be a mega multi-zillionaire.

If I had a miter station like that I’d end up filling the beds up with crap and I couldn’t use it! But I don’t really have the room anyway. Someday! Nice job Pottz…

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

thanks bud.

That's how is should be done, Lar.

I don’t know if you’re serious or not about the first part, but I was just messing around.

That’s a nice perk—makes experimenting with different species (and building projects) more affordable.
