After seeing everyone making end grain cutting boards I gave one a try. It's maple, walnut, and cherry.

I just had a friend ask about cutting boards this morning.  Yours looks great - was it for use or display?
It was a Christmas gift awhile ago to be used. It was more work than I expected it to be.
shes a beauty my friend. my salesman hit me up on thursday saying he'd love to get his dad a cutting board for christmas. he says, hey can you make me one ? i said sure, but you wont get it for christmas ! i dont do fast food woodworking !

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Thanks Pottz and BB. Yea these end grain boards take a lot of time if you're not setup for it. Next one I'm shipping to Moke to run through his drum sander.
Like the design and the woods used.  Good work.

Looks great Corelz, the end grain holds up so much better. I have been thinking about making some of those.

I see more cutting boards posted on woodworking sites than loaves of bread in the world.

I'd love to see some progress photos...

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Thanks for the comments.
Sorry LBD made this a few years ago and only have the one pic.
That's understandable C125... it's just a hint-hint for any future EGCB makers that happen to read this.
