Easy to make puzzle, harder to solve. Stepping on the Duck's flippers a bit.
Construction starts with 1 inch diameter. I cut a 30 degree angle on the end. Using the backer boards on the miter saw keeps the little cut off pieces from falling into the saw blade and becoming shrapnel. Using a small sled bit a hold down with the angled end against the block, cut to length. 2 of each length. The idea is to have a set with the following sizes. If you make onemight as well make several. Setup is the time consumer. A small tray is then assembled to hold the puzzle. Always give the puzzle solver one that is not finished. To easy if they know what they are trying to do. Made 5 gave all away this afternoon. Try side 3/4" high and 5/8" wide. Glued on bottom. Rounded over the edges. One could put a coat of finish on it. Did not have time to wait for it to dry.
I was actually impressed by your hand writing. I think messy people usually don't or can't write clean letters and it makes sense that your work is always detailed/so clean finish. Good job on the puzzle:)
Seen samples a few time elsewhere and just skipped over it... However, this has given me inspiration to churn out a few miniatures on the laser as a give away or a stocking stuffer... you left it a tad late, so next year.
With all this inundation of puzzle, pottzy might think his viagra supply has arrived.
If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
