Mouse Feeders

We had mice in out park model this winter when we got down here and caught a few in the traps. But to eliminate them for the future I made them some mouse feeders but instead of cheese they will have Golden Malrin in them. It is a fly killer used in dairy barns but it can kill a racoon just as easily. I made them with a small opening so a larger  animal can't get at the bait. They will be placed where no other animal can access them any way.

They are made out of some scrap mesquite and have no finish on them so they will smell natural to the mice.

Those look neat, and simple. Well Done Jim. Merry Christmas.

Cool,  how good do they work?
How did you cut the slot out?  (bandsaw?)

Figuring out how to do something you have never done is what makes a good challenge.

now that, incorporated in a bird feeder (strictly downtown Churchill) is my Santa request.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

So adorable....

thanks every one and Merry Christmas

Hi Bentlyj...I drilled a 1 1/8" hole through the side and bandsawed out the bottom to the hole and used a spindle sander to clean it up.
