One of my Bucket list projects to build a Sam Maloof style Bar Stool.
Last picture shows my great grand daughter checking out the stool on the assembly table in the shop.

I've always been impressed by the "single piece" look of the Maloof style. Excellent work!

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Nicely done, a great looking stool, and it looks like it has been approved.

Well done.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Beautiful chair and very cute model!
Came out looking great, Oldrivers! Well done!

May you have the day you deserve!

Wow, one beautiful stool. The shaping of this came out fantastic, contouring the wood by hand I assume, with spoke shave, rasps, etc. providing some leisure time in the shop.
Regarding the cutie checking out your work, hope she gave you a passing grade.
Thanks to every one.
Oldtool you are correct on all accounts.
When the tool work is almost completed I go into the eye appeal and the feel mode for the finishing touches sanding, rasping Etc.
