The boys wanted to make bottles
While out in the shape today my oldest son (8) said he wanted to make a milk bottle. Didn’t think to get pics before it was painted. We worked together on it and I think he did a fine job.
While we were finishing up his bottle my youngest (7) son came in. He wanted to make a bottle as well. He wanted a syrup bottle. We also worked together. He was a great help.
Josie found a nice comfy spot in the wood chips behind the lathe while all this was going on!
All in all it was a great afternoon in the shop. It’s been way too long since we have had the opportunity to be out there.

Nicely done, and they look great, some good quality time is always nice to have.

Reminds me of my son on his first attempt at turning... he did great and after he finished, as we were chatting, he was flapping his hands around in wog speak. He accidentally brushed against the razor sharp chisel in his other hand... receives a "gash" about the size of a tiny paper cut, but lots of blood... he never entered the workshop again!
Ok... are you a slack housekeeper or did the boys pick 2 gigantic trees to whittle down into the bottles?
I don't think the dog is asleep... but lost!
If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

I am a slack house keeper. In my defense Josie was very appreciative!!

The bottles are great, but the boys will remember the time in the shop with Dad and the dog.
