My first solo turning project
This was the first thing I turned on my own. It is pine. I turned it on my bench top Bosch lathe. Finished in polyurethane.

Interesting thumb rest on the one side. For a first off turning, pretty nice.

nice buck, i still have mine. i was very nervous so the side walls are rather thick shall i say-lol.
working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment,somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.
Ready for a pour of grog, The turning bug is now infesting your soul 🙂

I pulled the log out of the burn pile so it had dried and been sitting wet from the rain when I pulled it Eric.
Pottz I was going through photos on my break I am sure I still have it I just have no idea where it is!
