Lidded boxes

These are some recently made lidded boxes I turned out on the lathe. The left one and front one is apple wood and the others art big leaf maple with some tiger striping. They vary from 2" in diameter and 2 to 3" tall finished with processed walnut oil and buffed with carnauba paste wax. My wife asked for one to store some things in and once started I made several.
Good turning Les. The grain in the maple has a nice effect on the boxes.

Those look really nice, simple turnings are the best at times, letting the grain do the showing. Well done.
