What is this silly little post all about you might be thinking.
Well, this about taking a tragedy and using one's craft skills to save a few pennies next Christmas.
A few Christmases ago we attended a Christmas ornament exchange. Although I don't have a picture of the original ornament my wife received, it looked similar to photograph one. Anyway, during the gathering she dropped it and moose shattered, leaving only the head and garland relatively intact. The following Christmas, I attended the same annual gathering, with the mounted moose head as my ornament for the exchange.... A piece of scrap wood and busted moose - Cha-ching - $5.00 saved.
