Noodle Box ala YRTI

YRTI made and posted his Okimochi Tool Box and I was fascinated with the design and the uniqueness of the build.   So I made one or a copy of his.    Mine is of Boxwood and a drawer front of Mahogany.    Poly finish.
Nothing original here, just a fun build.
Thanks YRTI, love your work.

Wow, great design box! haha, I was like "Did I make the box that much good?" .

I like to design stuff and it usually takes a long time to come up with so I'm honored that you like the design (To be clear, I'm happy with people re-make my design or make it even better).

Big surprise morning and Thank you!

Thanks for the comments and YRTI was good to hear from  you on your design.
Unique box for sure.

Ron

I second that I like seeing a design repeated by different people. Lets one see some of the personality influence.

A 👍 to Ron and YRTi!
As usual a job well done. Great work
Thanks for the comments.    Anytime I use someone else's design, plans etc. I try to make sure it is known and not take credit for it.   Have had a couple of my own ideas used and claimed by others over the years, just not right.
But sharing is the basics.

Ron

Great job!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Excellent work Ron, looks great!
That looks great Ron, Well done.

That is one reason Ilike to share projects, let others have a take on it and see what inspires them in the design.

Not sure I even know what a noodle box is, but I know great craftsmanship when I see it.  Right there it is.
Really nice!  Love that design....well done!

Mike

YRTI, nice work.

Nicer nod to Ron on the design.

It’s a nice tool box that also looks like it would double as decorative object around you house.
How does the lid stay closed?

James McIntyre

Thanks James.   The lid does not exist, the front is a siding panel that run in grooves on each side.  The front panel sits on top of the bottom panel when closed and gravity keeps it shut.     Not to sure what we will do with the box now that it is done.     I often enjoy just making a project with no thought of where or when it will be used.   Just the fun of making it.

Ron

It seems like it's getting popular to use it for camping in Japan. With some organizers inside, they put cutlery, mugs, spices, seasonings, teas and etc..

Oh and the box style is "Okamochi"!
Well, "Okimochi" means "feeling (polite form)" and if you call it Okimochi box, it sounds like you use the box to care about people so it actually sounds cool, haha.
