Custom Made Handle Or Pull

Here’s a project I made several years ago at LJ’s First I made this block made with white oak sandwiched between mahogany.

The way it’s cut at the band saw gives it the illusion that the sides are tilted inward.

Here are some photos I added to show how it’s made in case anybody else wants to make some.

I filled and sanded it down to its final shape.

Here’s a template of an earlier version I made of this handle.

Thanks for taking the time from your projects or BBQ’s to have a 👀 look.

Fine looking handle James!

Bet you'd think twice for showing this after someone says they want 20 of them  😀

That wood looks like it really glows and moves around depending on the light and direction, neat design!
Thanks Splinter. Your right about making 20. I like making new things but if I was starving I would consider it.

How’s your multi function ride on transport iPad-tablet stand for your wife coming along?

She got tired of waiting so she just leans it up against her coffee mug. Problem solved!
Well don’t let her read this post then she’ll be fine.
How’s the clock face. It looks like the photo I posted on my mantle clock was out of line. It’s hard to take a photo without perspective distortion.

I'm as of this moment cutting out a "production" version. Eager to see what I can do with the paints and some form of case.
6"x6" tile makes for a small clock, maybe something for a night stand.

I'll give you full credit if/when I post the project here! 😇
James,

Great looking pull.  A bit of work.  Just about as easy clamping a 24 inch lamination as a 6".

No need for credit Splinter your work speaks for it self. The clock dial is a creation of clockprints.com. You could buy a larger tile.

Nice work on the handle, James. Great minds think alike. I just cut a couple similar to it.

Nice handle Dave...now what are you going to make to put the on?  Well done!

Mike

Cool handle JMcI... but did someone (?) forget something... like the box under it, or a drawer behind it?

Nicely done James.

Nice work, I just spent a few hours on 4 little pulls for some cabinets I'm working on, not really cost efficient but hand made parts are so much nicer than what you can get mass produced.

Really like that!  Threaded inserts makes sense too.

A nice handle! Was it for a box? I'll take 50 for the same one and another 50 for inversed pattern. Looking for a discount, haha.

No name noobie here

Thanks Jim J. Yours look great. Nice contrast. You reminded me I forgot to add the photos where I installed the brass inserts.

Thanks Moke. There will be a display box.
