All about this project is turning a wooden cube hold on the lathe by two of its opposite corners. You may need two special cups to help mounting the cube on the lathe. To display it in an attractive way, I turned a tripod stand and a lid out of red gum. The cube is 12×12×12 cm and laminated from four kind of timber including plywood.. It is amazing to watch a blank transforming from cube with eight corners into three wing box and two pointed ends !

The turning I understand. What always amazes me is the thought process that has to take place to contrive the block from which the envisioned piece emerges.
Well done on both scores Sam.
