Tiny Scrollsaw Box

This is a teeny scroll saw box cut out of a piece of birds eye maple. The box is about the size of a dime and has a turned brass knob and flocked inside the drawer. The box measures .450" x.700"x.700"deep.
I don't think it is big enough to fit a tooth- maybe a baby tooth. Anyway I saw LJ Steve Ramsey's challenge and thought I'll get in on it. I'm not much of a scroll sawyer and less yet when I can't hardly hold onto the piece. This is as small as I go!!
Thanks to Doug Scott for the Birdseye Maple board. ( I didn't use much of it) .................Cheers, .Jim

Jim, did you really hold that with your fingers? You are brave to even try something like that, pretty impressive.

Wow! So small!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Thank yo all for the nice comments. i did hole it without and saw marks in my fingers. I left the entry slot in the bottom because it is hard to hide  that wide of a slot in this small of a box.

cheers, Jim

Like it a lot, now what are you going to put in the box?

This is interesting, never thought about minerature woodworking before, but I think minerature dovetailed cases with dovetailed drawers could be a fun exercise in detailed handwork. Actually sounds like a nice relaxing exercise sometime when I'm too tired to wrestle with large boards. I wonder what the limits would be with this, very interesting.
In any event, nice scrollsaw box, looks pretty good.
Thanks Madburg. Ron and Tom.

Hi Ron. Not much will fit in there. Right now I have it inside my Grease Box so I don't lose it. I do have a small gold nugget that might fit in there!!

Wow, neat tiny box. I would be leery about cutting that. Well done.

Thanks Eric. I had a thin piece of wood under it when I cut it on the scroll saw
