These are a few of my more recent endeavors in the Ringmaster realm. Got tired of the same ol' same ol', so got started doing chaos style, endgrain and tree slice bowls.  And tried a few different open-segment and open-ring style bowls. Just waiting for somebody to take these as a starting point and run with it.

Comments and critiques welcomed.

Thanx for looking.

My critique is that it is really good looking work.   Like the bowls

The closest I got to bowls was 10 pin in my youth, a quickie as a batsman (Aussie cricket) in my mids  and lawn in my age...

Nevertheless, welcome to Craftisian... though that last happy snap, looks... different.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Those look great! Nice work.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

real nice work headhunter, or shall i say (snowbeast) as many here will know him by from his forum, forum ! i hope i didn't over step in revealing your former name ? hey were all lj's refugees ! let me just say, so glad youve found your way to a better place !

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Those chaos segmented bowls are really cool.  Might need to see more pictures of the pre-Ringmaster blanks to get my mind wrapped around those.  Maybe a blog?  How else am I going to imitate them.

The open segmented vases are pretty special too.  They would make excellent lamp shades.

Tight joints and great wood combos!

The "cages" are cool! Per Nathan, they scream pendant lamps!
Welcome to the site!  I am really glad to see you here!

Thanx for the welcome, guys.

That last pic that most folks seem to like were for a bowl swap 'over there'. Someone mentioned that Ringmaster bowls were included and then someone else said toothpicks, for some reason. And that's all I remembered about the whole deal. So, I made these up as 'Texas toothpick holders'. The recipient loved them since I included a stash of Texas toothpicks.

I may have to look into that lampshade deal a bit more.

Nathan -  Here's a pic of the mesquite chaos bowl blank. Started as 3/4" cubes glued together in a brick fashion and then cut into rings.

And one of the open-ring bowl in the back -

Hope these help somebody.
I remember that swap, there was some really good stuff that came out of that. And I even received a toothpick on a stand.

The chaos style has been very puzzling to me too, thanks for the pictures of your blanks!
