I restored this several years ago, the case was almost destroyed but still liked it so I redid the case work, new top and veneered the front.  I'm glad I did it, really like this piece.  Veneer is myrtle burl, top is Jatoba (brazilin cherry), salvaged from shipping crates.

thats beautiful tim. it's amazing the wood you can get from shipping crates or pallets that come from other countries. stuff they think is garbage we die for.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment,somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.
