I have been working on this for almost 4 months. This is based on a wood model kit from  Occre.  I did replace numerous laser cut parts and basswood with hardwood.  I started this because I had to have my ankle replaced and would be on crutches for several months, still on them but this is something I can do sitting.  But now dead in the water again due to caterac surgery, rigging is pretty hard with blured vision. At least for a week or so.  It's not finished but since I'm bored to death thought I'd post progress.  I'm pretty much a novice at this but sure has kept me busy and I'm really enjoying the build.

It's looking great! The cataract recovery is worth the wait.
Magnificent - very envious!!
A beautiful crafted ship, and very detailed. I know the rigging can be very hard to do and slow going, threading the line through all of those little deadeyes. Well done.

Main Street to the Mountains

Nicely done!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

What a magnificent sailing ship.

Nice job 0001... I certainly appreciate the effort required and the hindrance of dodgy etesight when it comes to sails/running rigging

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Great looking build Tim, you sure have patience and obviously talent.

Incredible work!  The eyes will clear quickly after the cataract surgery and you'll be on to more rat lines and running rigging.  Simply beautiful!  Do you have a place to display it?
Very cool build!! I almost started building model ships but marquetry stung me first! I love all the details and complexity of this, you can tell it is a passion!

Coming right along with a Beautiful work of art.
