Cracker Box

We enjoy the occasional fiber cracker. Occasional means that they end up stale because the paper wrapper doesn't get closed/won't close properly to keep air out. Whipped up a box from scrap Baltic birch and oak. Outside is Minwax satin poly; no finish on the inside. The crackers already taste like wood, but didn't want to add the smell of the finish. Lid is a piston fit. I used a cup hook to enable getting the lid out when the supply is low. Screws and glue. Clumsy is a thing around here, and the screws augment the holding power of the glue.

Neat simple little box, and should come in handy.

Thanks! Just scraps that would otherwise gone in the trash or recycle bin.. Hopefully it solves the stale cracker issue.
