Three Walnut Bowls

Last week was "Finish all the bowls " week. I dumped out all the wood chips to be burned and picked out all these bowls that were drying in their own chips. These are the first 3. They are 4 1/2,  4 3/4 and 5 3/8 diameters and all 1 3/4" high. They are walnut  with both heartwood and sapwood included and all finished with 3 stage buff and wax. They were all roughed out the same and the shapes come to whatever comes to mind at the time. None were planned. Centering the heartwood was the main concern when roughing.

I'm a fan of walnut so these are top picks for me.  Like the contrast in color.
Pretty wood and nice shapes, Jim!

May you have the day you deserve!

Love the contrasting colors 👍🏼

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Thank you all for the nice comments!!

Hi Ganchick. I don't think they will crack. I have 20 yr old walnut bowls and no cracks!! These have been in wood chips for 5 months before turning!.

Beautiful Bowls Jim.  The Walnut is very pretty and good that the heartwood and sapwood turned out so nice.

All of your bowls have come out nicely. I really like the Walnut ones because of the difference in the colors. Excellent job !!!
