This is a Peterson Style Nest Box that’s similar to others I've made in its design. You can refer to one of my other posts for more details on this style of birdhouse. Where this one varies from others is in the use of Alaskan Yellow Cedar, which I've burned using a Japanese Sho Sugi Ban method for making the wood more rot-resistant. I've also tinted the wood, and finished it with spar urethane. Not shown in these pics is the base mount (in this case, it's mounted to a tree) that I made in Eastern Red Cedar.
