Model display case
i have a neighbor that is just turning 90 and ive done various projects for him over the years. he bought this model of a car he had wanted when he was a much younger man but could never afford. so this is as close as he ever got. so he comes to me and asks for me to make a display case. well i couldn't say no, and even if i did he wouldn't give up until i did. this is made from walnut with maple splines. 1/8" plexiglass and a rubber pad on the bottom. finish is one coat of GF arm r seal and 5 coats spray can lacquer. i used the micro mark table saw and miter saw to do most of the cutting. without those it would have been a lot harder. i think he's gonna be happy.

The car is almost as good as the case. Nicely done.

thanks guys im getting ready to take it to him right now. his wife said he's in the bathroom and she'd call when he's out. already been 20 minutes ! i guess at 90 nothing moves too fast 🤣
