Electric Hummingbirds

I love Hummingbirds and try at times to put them into my works. The challenge with these is the Fracking. I have made a fracking tool I think is safer than most I have seen but it is still a very dangerous thing to do.

Gotta love Hummingbirds. Yours make this piece. I've seen many very interesting patterns (Lichtenberg figure) with fracking, but none interesting enough for me to want to play with it. Some things, at least for me aren't worth the risk. I think part of the growth of Fracking wood is kind of like the draw of Fentanyl. That playing with death thing, not for me.
Very Interesting - love the birds
love the little guys myself. this is a beautiful piece robinhood. well done. would love to see the tool youve made ?

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Great piece! Very cool!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Always a difficult decision on how to display bird carvings, I think this works well and looks great!
Put out my hummer feeder and ready for their arrival.   Should be anytime, probably one day next week.
Nice work Robinhood.

Excellent carving. Personally, I think it would look as good without the fracking. Either way it is a beautiful work of art.

Thank you all for your kind comments.
Beautiful work, Jerry!!!!!!!!!!!

Real nice work done on those birds.
Hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly both forward and backwards. They can also hover in mid-air, fly sideways and even upside-down. Wings: A hummingbird's wings beat about 70 times per second (200 times per second when diving!) Maybe Boeing should have named their Opsrey The Humming bird it might have been safer!
