Finally made the sign.

This slab of 1.5 inch thick maple has been laying around the shop for at least two years.  I have been meaning to make it into signage for a while, but there has always been something else to do.  Well, I finally squeezed it in.

Yes, the cnc did the burning. I jumped back and forth on doing it by hand. The decision was finalized when I could not seem to find my wood burning tools because, once again, I have safely tucked them in a spot I won’t forget.

I did have to pour some epoxy in the splits to create more integrity in the slab.

Regardless, I personally like the sign, and it hangs well in shop.

The Bar and Drill is open for business.

Thanks for stopping in.

Nice sign! I didn't even notice the "Drill" until I read the text.
Splinter, yes, the shop has 10 foot ceilings.  Ron.  Plenty of of Irish, local and Mexican beers. No German.  But I think I will get some.
