The Last Straw Puzzle

Hey Guys!

I can’t help but to collect cute little boxes for retrofitting into puzzles!

This one is covered in straw art.  This technique of using straw as a cheap inlay/decoration has been going on since the 17th and 18th century.

Since I didn’t want to drill any holes through the sides where the straw art was, my plan or direction needed a knob to come up from underneath.

As soon as I add a knob, I need to add new feet as well.  Using Wenge and Pau Amarillo helped to keep to the black and yellow theme.

What I was able to explore and learn here was on how to make the dial just spin with no apparent function until you do one secretly hidden detail, then you are on your way to opening it.

Sometimes if there is no one waiting to buy it, I will put it up for auction on puzzleparadise.net and after 3 days it’s gone!

Thanks for checking it out guys!
