This is just another version of my latest projects. The top is maple and oak is one of the woods used in the body.

Another nice one  👍
Any new info about finding a place to sell these ?
Thanks Bruce. I put two of them on Marketplace a few days ago, but I haven't done anything else with them. I see there is a couple of craft festivals coming up and they only charge $100 for a 10x10 space. Problem is you need to bring several items and they are not responsible for rain or theft. Also I would have to be there from 4-10pm and could not leave early even if my items had no traffic. Lots of rules, so I'd have to go to a couple and see how they work.

I always think it would be cool to do craft show stuff, but it seems like it’s such a pain…and expensive!!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

i might do some shows when i retire but not to get rich. most of those shows are old guys just wanting something to do and pay for the hobby which would be fine with me. plus a lot of it is the socialization.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Not being rude... well not deliberately... they are more practical than bowls.

You would need to develop a very thick skin... I remember manning my pen sales booth at an Aussie market, when one guy came up and said he'd give me $5.00 for 10 Elegant Beauties... when I realised he wasn't taking the piss out of me, if it wasn't for a pair of cops patrolling the area, I would have punched his lights out... at least would have tried... lucky I wasn't arrested for my string of profanities.
First and last time at a market... as a seller.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

plus a lot of it is the socialization.
Oh you bet!
I've done a few, but nothing in the past few years.
There are the lookers that barely stop walking, the chatty people, and the groupies that hang out. Most of the groupies are people that started out as chattys. I guess one really needs to know who these people are and not chat them up so much 🤔
You realy used the last toothpeack scrap in workshop...hehehe
