It was alot of fun and something you can be quite creative with making it.
Those are cool!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Very unique trees!

That's a great idea! I met a carver two days ago who used shavings as the petals(?) of a flower. That's a whole lot easier than carving the waste away. I'll likely see him again soon, and I'll get a picture.

A cool effect. I've seen someone who did this but first turned the piece of wood into a cone shape.  They managed to create really tight curls.  It was a YouTube video but I cannot seem to find it now.  I think that the guy was from Germany or possibly somewhere in Scandinavia.

Thanks Dark_Lightning. I normally shape a point on the tree and sometimes I do this technique with dowel. There's alot of artistic license you can take when creating this.
Lazyman.... there's so much you can do with this artistic endeavor. Such a simple thing can yield alot of creativity in the making. I've made a 3 ft long board once with many trees on it. Some leaning, some straight, others broken, some short and tall. In the end it was beautiful.
