It has alignment posts and brass hinges.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice looking box MrRick, nice clean lines, very precise all around. I like the brass alignment pins, very useful with seasonal wood movement.
Thanks Oldtool! I made a custom box finger joint sled for my tablesaw. I can interchange inserts on it to make different size fingers. I hadn't used it in a while when I made this box. I'm pleased with how it turned out.
nice looking box my friend. glad to see you back again, you were missed.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Very nice box - tasteful design.
Nice!   Finger joints nice and tight.   Good looking box.

Clean. Nicely done!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Nice box Rick. Even though I spent a lot of time learning how to cut dovetails by hand, I still really like the look of nice, clean box joints.
Fotodog... dovetails are my love and I've done many handcut dovetails. So I thought I'd do some box finger joints this time. However not handcut because it would take a very long time. Lol.
Mr. Rick,

Very nice box.  Love the look of Box Joints.

Nice box Rick, love the lines, and that grain you picked is spot on. I love me some finger joints. Almost as dressy to look at as DTs, have better glue surface, and are less than 1/4 the work, a super joint is there ever was one. Winner winner.
I have always enjoyed your box builds. Your maple leaf inlay lid is a personal favorite. Whether dove tailed or box jointed they share clean accurate joinery and many have had an obvious purpose. I too like to use box joints on lower profile projects where dove tailing is just not applicable. Although there are multiple joint designs available to us all I have always felt that box joints showed a truly precision fit just by how the end/face grain offsets so close together as yours shows to great effect. Well made.

Some of my most creative moments have been when I've had to cover up an error in my woodworking.

Another  nice project.  I never thought of alignment pins.  That is a good idea.

The box looks really nice.

Well done!
