2 down and 23 to go.
Let me start on how I came across these postal doors.
I was at a craft fair / market. Within my display I had a few postal banks but with keys. A gentleman came up to me and explained that a friend of his had passed. He was helping his wife clean and sell the items left in his friend's woodshop. He asked If I would be interested in purchasing some more postal doors for $5 each. I asked him to bring them by for me to take a look. Low and behold, he came with 25 vintage / new, never used postal doors. No, I did not pay him $5 each. I told him I could not rip off his friend's wife. I paid $30 each.

I remember those doors from the 80's in the post office.
Quite a score getting 25 and it seems you have a plan! 👍
nice boxes. i made a bunch as xmas gifts last year. people love em. 30 bucks each was very generous. most sell for around 10 each, but there used, which i like because of the patina.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

for the find....
I told him I could not rip off his friend's wife.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

I have a few of the old ones someplace in my shop.  I bought them in the 80's to make banks.  Maybe I will some day.

You better get moving Petey... If Yankeeland follows the world direction, cash will soon be obsolete... at least make the insert slot USB dongle sized.
