School Bleacher Chimney Corner Bookcase

I live in a tiny town that has a tiny museum.  I was asked to build a case that would fit in a very narrow space in the museum to house the collection of old school year books dating back to the founding of the town.  Currently they are in boxes on the floor.  The wood for this project was from reclaimed bleachers from the school.  A very fun project for me.  The wood is beautiful, SYP, perfectly clear, the only real difficulty was removing the copious quantities of gum stuck the underside of the boards.

Nice story and build.  The gum comment made me laugh.

What a cool project to be part of! Nicely done.
I noticed the SuperCell in the corner in that one pic. 👍🏼 Great piece of equipment. I love mine.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Perfect repurpose for the bleachers!
Just don't know about kids, now and in the past. No respect! 🤠
Nice looking cabinet for a good cause! The story about the wood is cool. You should add a note about that to the cabinet.
Great project, good items reused well.    Like the shop.

Fine looking cabinet! Did they give you some of that nice looking wood for partial compensation?
