Cricket Table

This is my first attempt at making a cricket table.  Cricket tables are small round top tables with 3 legs.  There are many ways to make them.  The entire table is make from a single piece of walnut that I have been saving for something special.

Great looking wood nice grain and color!

Table design has a light look but I see the through tenons so should be quite strong, nice work!
Gorgeous!  Love the design that really features the walnut.  What did you use for finish?  Looks great.
Beautiful wood! What process did you use to figure and drill the holes for the legs in the seat?

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

That will be a nice addition to any room!
For the top I used Rubio Monocoat, and for the legs I used Tried and True original varnish.

Ryan G, To lay out the leg holes I drew 3 lines emanating from the center 120° apart.  Then I marked the center point for each leg 3 1/2" in from the edge on each line.  Then using a bevel gauge set at 8° to align my drill the holes were drilled to a depth of 1 1/4".

Nice,  saved to my favorites for future use as a plant stand,   thanks for posting it.

Thanks for the description of the leg holes. Seems relatively simple way to accomplish what amounts to compound, complex angle work.

Lovely table, well done.   Walnut is always a great choice.  Yours is wonderful.
