Handmade wooden toys last

Handmade wooden toys that foster imagination and play can be handed on. This Matchbox Toy Garage is one of about 30 of which I’ve made and given away.
The family that had this one didn’t have anyone to pass it on to so the Papa Smurf, Handy Smurf & I gave it a freshen up.
It was given to a neighbour with 2 boys.

Great third second hand.

I knew immediately whose beautiful handiwork this was. Nice refresh that will make those boys smile.

Kerry - Working with wood, the smell the feel, is such a joy, its a meditation of sorts.

Oh Peter, you make such beautiful stuff. Compliments.

Wonderful garage, even better that you give to the kids.   Good!

Very nice toy, great work with the decals and paint work, very realistic. I'm sure the boys will get a great amount of amusement from this.

Nice to see toys of this ilk are still of interest.

Thank you ladies and gents for the kind words of encouragement. I spoke with my neighbour during the week who was concerned about his son walking up the ramp to the rooftop parking area. I detailed the construction of the ramp and whole garage to eliminate his concerns

Also by the way, as it’s my own design I did a number of years ago, I’m more than happy to share a pdf file on the making of the toy garage for anyone who’d like to make one for their grandchildren or other children.

That was my first car in 1968 (maybe '67?), a sedan though and I believe 1958 year of production - GUC-737... rego nearly harder to forget than the fun I had in it).... called it Rainbow as nearly all the panels, boot and bonnet were replaced from wreckers and different colours as a wayabout protesting uni-student, I couldn't afford respray.

crowie, that;s why I will never buy Ford again and have this "aversion" against them... nothing against the product, but no Ford could ever replace, or come close to the memories of that original wonder bus.
