 A toymakers new venture!

I’ve had a request from one of our daughters for a Keepsake Box for our youngest grandson.

I’m a Toymaker not a fine woodworker,
but found this beaut secondhand Hegner Finger Jointer to help me do a decent job on the corner joints.

This is our first box made from reclaimed pine.

Papa Smurf, Handy Smurf and all the Smurf Family are pleased with the outcome.

Oh lucky you! and pray tell where you actually found this piece of equipment?

Interesting tool.  Nice box

OK Crowie, nice find - looks new and seems to work great. Now, have fun with the grandchild, they're the best.
Never seen that before. What a perfect tool for small boxes!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Anything that helps us make better toys (and accoutrements) are the best finds ever. Although I'm not blue, I stand with the Smurfs and heartily approve. Every kid needs a place for their treasures. Most especially Grandpa's handmade ones.

Some of my most creative moments have been when I've had to cover up an error in my woodworking.

I have one gathering dust...so I guess I should follow your lead...you first attempt looks good.  I hope I can do as well.

Looks great!  Nice team effort.

On the Australian Woodwork Forums “Market Place” Rob.
It came with the manual, all four bits and as others have observed, looked like new.
It cost me A$250, “Made in Germany”!

What do you mean you are not a fine woodworker. We all think your woodworking is absolutely more than fine.
