Backsaw and Screwdriver Tool Rack

Built this sometime ago, but only recently finished the pull-out tray and the little drawer. I managed to get it painted today. This is not fine woodworking, more like utilitarian workshop furniture. Made from pine, MDF with English oak accents. The oak is finished with clear honey Peacock oil. All hand tool work apart from drilling a few holes with my cordless drill.

This is the 3rd tool rack on my quest to get my tools organized and within easy reach.

Thanks for looking!

I might have believed that until I saw the half blind dove tails 😁
Wow!  Great design, well done

So nicely done.  I don't think I'll ever get to this level, but inspiring!
Sweet looking storage rack, everything in view and ready to go to work.
Great looking cabinet with great tool collection! I wish I can organize my tools like that!

I don't know if I could handle that level of being organized! 🤔
Best thing in my mind aside from you achieving maximum packing density with out limitations of "stacked" stuff, you know exactly what is missing.
I do. I even put tools back when I know I'll be using them again in a few minutes.

I didn't meant to be irony at all. I just thought it's super neat!

I at least try to clean and put everything back at the end of the day when I use my tools. Though, my problem is, I'm still at a developing period, meaning, things fit in my cabinet now but maybe next month, upgrading tools and they no longer fit well. It seems to be a long journey to be settled like Brit!

Nice cabinet, Andy! You’re outclassing my humble shop furniture.

May you have the day you deserve!

Absolutely beautiful!

Thanks everyone!

@YRTi (Mas) - I held off creating any tool racks for many years because I was still acquiring tools. I will admit that it is difficult to know when is a good time to start. This isn't so much of a problem if you have a big shop, but mine is only 3m x 3m and two of the walls have window in them, so wall space is at a premium. I've had all my tools in plastic crates for sooooooo long and I just couldn't stand it anymore, so decided to take the plunge. Hope you eventually settle on the tools you want to keep forever and can do likewise.

There is definitely a lot of talent that went into all of these tool storage designs.

I see! For now, my solution is to use an empty cabinet that I just made as a frame of modular cases and store tools I use often and the rest is stacked/stored in my garage. If I change tools, I'll replace a case inside. One day, if I need more tools, I may replace the cabinet:) Anyways, your per square ft(meters) productivity must be crazy high!
